In New York State, Code Blue is focused on winning back the State Senate and sending more Democrats to Congress, so that New Yorkers can see the progressive legislation that they want and deserve enacted.

We work with like-minded partners to hold our elected officials accountable, inform constituents about opportunities to be heard, and help counties and municipalities take back their governments.  We are also part of the True Blue coalition (makenytrueblue.org), which holds accountable the Independent Democratic Conference and reminds them that they need more than PR to be progressives.

We are looking for New York volunteers to join our behind-the-scenes team of researchers, creatives, and activists! New York has a reputation for being progressive -- let’s make sure our laws reflect that.

If you would like to help our state live up to its lady in the harbor, please email the state captains, Sarah and Clare, at codebluenys at gmail

New Yorkers, here’s what just a few State Senate and Congressional Republicans are saying and doing in your name:

“When President Trump was elected, I felt there is a God.”
— John Bonacic, 42nd District in The Daily Star
“The Senate Democrats are definitely not taking over the majority.”
— Marty Golden, 22nd District in Gotham Gazette
“There’s more than just words to define a person and, by the way, aside from words, there’s a whole lot more to define everyone, but you can easily argue that the President of the United States [Barack Obama] is a racist with his policies and his rhetoric.”

(in response to Donald Trump’s attacks on Judge Curiel based on his Mexican heritage)
— Lee Zeldin, 1st District on CNN
‘“I said I would support the nominee, that is still the case,” he said, stressing that he supports Trump’s hard right position on the Supreme Court.”
— John Faso, 19th District New York State of Politics
